The World it´s not as it is, but as we see it, so it is, at least to us.

We live in a World made of images, information, and narratives, collective, and personal, and that we call it Knowledge, or Ignorance for the lack of it, or I would add for the poor quality we choose to feed our minds, and souls with.
We mostly generally, are easy to be program by information, that now day has become not a source for Truth, but for convenience, to people who want to control what you should think about particular issues, be this about the drink you prefer to buy, to the way you should interpret the news you watch, or hear.
It’s common for people to judge you in a poor light, or be wary of your political opinions, just by your favorite source of media. Most never questioning their own favorite source.
We are obedient receptors of information, good, or bad, that indiscriminately, we absorb, and then project into our beliefs, that translate later into actions, based on what you were told, and concluded as truthful, therefore a fact.
Thoughts Long Held, Turn Into Actions
So one day sick to your Soul, of the way things that are going on the World, and full of righteous indignation decide to take some radical action, to put an end to that!
You get out out of bed, or the sofa, and head out to the local help center, and offer yourself as a volunteer to combat misery in the so many varieties it exist; homelessness, hunger, sickness, or whatever your choice of cause to alleviate, or decide to take affirmative action, by being careful to protect the environment, buying and selecting what in your opinion would help to conserve, and protect, rather than destroy.
A Different Scenario
Or you get up, and fed up by all those parasites, who are sucking the blood of the planet decide to put an end to it, by showing your disgust, an with careful planning, decide to teach those people at the local Church, or High School, a lesson they will never forget, for the sin of thinking differently, than you do, how clever, and macho you are by sacrificing yourself, but getting ahead of you, as many of them as you can, or just full of rage on impulse picking your gun collection and shoot whoever you first see on sight, just because you are so pissed off.
Yes, sure we know that those people are mentally disordered, or unbalanced, as we like to call them now day, but ignore totally the fact they are very easily infected with the decease of extremist ideologies, same that they acquired just the same way you got your political ideas, by selectively picking what you choose to believe, and take action against it, regardless if you never got a personal injury from an extreme terrorist, from whatever ideology you hate, and will never carry an act like that.
Well, some mental cases, unbalanced or just full of hate towards people they see as the ¨other,¨ just do that, we frequently see it on the news, now a too common occurrence.
How Common?
Just last year in 2018 in the United States alone, the mass shootings, not all acts of terror, by a mental disorder case, criteria disputed accordingly, but nevertheless mass shootings.
Shootings that occurred in the United States in 2018. Mass shootings are incidents involving multiple victims of firearm-related violence. The precise inclusion criteria are disputed, and there is no broadly accepted definition.
Of the shootings that meet the criteria for inclusion here, there were 323 shootings, 387 were killed and 1274 injured, and 3 mass shootings occurred at a school.
Shootings, almost as big as the year is long, basically 42 short to make 365, one for every day of the year. about 3.5 days a month without a shooting, average, since more than one shooting can happen on a given day, and a few days may go by without one, but not for too long. You may think there’s a war going on in America. And I guess there is, and its escalating up.
Be Careful, And Selective
My intention it’s to point out, we all have an obligation to be selective, about what kind of person we aspire to be, violence may seem a random epidemic, but it’s not, all of us have a choice, as in the Native American story.
The Two Wolfs
Once upon a time, there was a Cherokee grandfather (or Navajo grandfather), who told his grandson, “Grandson, there are two wolves inside of me. One wolf is white, good and altruistic, generous and kind, and the other wolf is black, mean and greedy, violent and angry. The two wolves are in a constant fight within me.” The grandson, with wide eyes, says, “But which one will win, grandpa?” And the grandfather says after a pause:
“The one which I feed.”
Violence As A Way To Resolve Conflict
Before you absolve yourself of such idea, tell me what are the movies you like to watch?
It’s common to hear guys saying: ‘I like movies with plenty of action!’
What they are really saying is; I like movies with plenty of violence.
Someone wrote:
¨The government, and Hollywood fill up the viewing agenda on pseudo patriotism and militaristic propaganda. God said “Thou shalt not kill,” and that meant killing a neighbor, another soldier, the bully in your neighborhood, your wife or husband or the third wheel that’s been hanging around while your at work. Killing is simply not an alternative.
Self defense may be alright under certain circumstances. But that’s not the same as parroting violent incidents in the media, and the difference between killing on tv, and taking real lives is like day and night. People bleed, people suffer, people die and they’re not coming back for a sequel. School shootings and the resulting trauma are simply unacceptable. Where does a guy get the idea to shoot hundreds of people through a window opening in a luxury hotel? Violence is epidemic and it’s high time we counter.
The media through the Internet, television, video games and music, degenerates our society. I mean have you ever checked out the video game Grand Theft Auto? All about killing and killing cops, pimping, thieving , and just about any type of violence you can imagine. Johnny 12 year-old is eating it up, and the cognitive, as well as the emotional neurons adapt I suppose, although what will survival of the fittest entail in the future? Macho supporters sing the praises of social Darwinism. If you’re weak minded or unable to contribute than you should probably just die off. Seriously that was America back in the Westward Ho days.¨
Quantum Mind.
Hungarian physicist Eugene Wigner. “It follows that the quantum description of objects is influenced by impressions entering my consciousness,” he wrote. “Solipsism may be logically consistent with present quantum mechanics.”
Wheeler even entertained the thought that the presence of living beings, which are capable of “noticing”, has transformed what was previously a multitude of possible quantum pasts into one concrete history. In this sense, Wheeler said, we become participants in the evolution of the Universe since its very beginning. In his words, we live in a “participatory universe.”
To this day, physicists do not agree on the best way to interpret these quantum experiments, and to some extent what you make of them is (at the moment) up to you. But one way or another, it is hard to avoid the implication that consciousness and quantum mechanics are somehow linked.
Beginning in the 1980s, the British physicist Roger Penrose suggested that the link might work in the other direction. Whether or not consciousness can affect quantum mechanics, he said, perhaps quantum mechanics is involved in consciousness.
What if, Penrose asked, there are molecular structures in our brains that are able to alter their state in response to a single quantum event. Could not these structures then adopt a superposition state, just like the particles in the double slit experiment? And might those quantum superpositions then show up in the ways neurons are triggered to communicate via electrical signals?
Maybe, says Penrose, our ability to sustain seemingly incompatible mental states is no quirk of perception, but a real quantum effect.
The Heart, The Place Of Meeting, And Transformation.
Ibn ‘Arabi offers a unique framework for explaining the structures of knowledge. His epistemology is referenced within the Oneness of Being (wahdāt al-wujūd), and all knowledge is ultimately the knowledge that the Being has of Itself through Its own self-disclosure. The human form mirrors this self-disclosure, and within this form he situates the center of the human experience in the faculty of the heart (qalb).
He intimates at the highest human potential which is the immediate perception of the Real as It appears to the heart in every moment, a condition of complete union known as the ‘Station of No Station’.
The Mind it’s the feeder, the receptacle it’s the Heart, and the reason you can’t throw in it impurity, or it will cover with rust, and dirt, the mirror of pure consciousness, the Heart. (See my last post in this blog).
And instead of Love, Truth, Peace, Wisdom, Light, and Bliss, you will get Hate, Falsehood, Ignorance, Darkness, and Suffering.
What you imagine yourself to be, that way you will become, and you will be for good, or for bad, your choice.

I’m very glad you wrote this. I particularly liked and appreciated the parable about the black Wolf and the white Wolf. I think it’s very true that we all have a light and a dark side and it’s really which one we feed that determines who we end up being. Obviously there are other factors, but ultimately we all have The Choice. And you can’t tell me that one angry person in a hotel with a semi automatic wanting to shoot people didn’t know that what he was doing was wrong. Very enjoyable and thought provoking essay as always.
Yes that parable it’s very nice, and to the point, we can choose to listen to the wrong wolf, and end in trouble, and it’s a fight we all have to go through, sort like the same concept we heard about the little angel whispering on our right ear, and the little devil doing the same on the left ear. It’s our moral obligation to do so, or declare yourself a Darth Vader, won by the dark force.

It is the 20th anniversary of the Columbine High School Massacre and there has not been one single successful advance in the US to curb the gun violence. There are a lot of fat dark wolves in the land today.
I am afraid you are absolutely right about that Don, it’s a shame that nothing seem to be done to curb gun violence, when so many lives have been lost.
“Columbine” has become a byword for a school shooting. And tomorrow will be twenty years since, such a tragedy.

I don’t think it’s solipsism to declare that we can determine what we internalize from the world around ourselves. I wrote about just this in November of 2016. I’ve sometimes wondered what it might be like if just a single generation was raised in the absence of violence, such that it was to be seen as a serious social aberration. Would it somehow re-emerge as a norm? I suspect not.
My experiences, particularly in parts of Asia where people have learned to live in close, cooperative societies (Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Okinawa, Singapore… and even Thailand) tell me that the human dynamic can function in a much more personally and socially rewarding way when violence as an expression of anger or insecurity is seen as dysfunctional. I’m not saying these are social utopias, but they are societies where life isn’t about individual and tribal competition, and where people have figured out to engage one another with tolerance and cooperation. But there’s a certain social trust that I think has to exists beforehand (or that must be imposed, as in Singapore). And that’s where I suspect that American culture may find an insurmountable obstacle. Individuals, however, still have a choice.
Well, American exceptionalism, always been used as an excuse to say here things are different, but truth is we are no different than other societies, but for our caprices, and we are shape by our personal taste, and by the demagogy from our politicians, and their dreams of global hegemony, and empire.
In other post in my blog had empathized that education it’s something we cannot skip a generation, without paying the price later, and as Don pointed on his comment above yesterday was the twenty year anniversary of Columbine massacre, and yet nothing its done to to solve the problem, or at least look for a way to ameliorate it.
In fact we in America seem to be an example for other countries to imitate our crazy, rampage behavior.
Norway mass murder has said:
¨Breivik said he trained for the massacre by playing the “Call of Duty” video game in order to “develop target acquisition.” Prosecutors say Breivik also played “World of Warcraft” an average of six hours and 50 minutes daily from November 2010 to February 2011 before beginning to build bombs he eventually used in his Oslo attack.¨

These days, Breivik is serving out the 21-year prison sentence handed to him by Norway’s courts, which is the maximum amount of time any law breaker in Norway can receive. Officials in Norway have defended the sentence by saying it can always be extended if he is still considered a danger to society.
Like many unhinged mass murderers, Breivik has inspired fans and acolytes and allegedly received letters of support from 20 countries. One American fan, Kevin Forts, told a Norwegian newspaper Breivik is a “nationalist and a patriot and not the terrorist neo-Nazi that the media portrays him to be.”
On December 14, 2012, 20-year-old Adam Lanza killed a total of 27 people in Newtown, Conn., the majority of them children, before killing himself. It has since been revealed that he was at least in part inspired by another massacre several thousand miles away in northern Europe. Here is a look back at the horrific event that law enforcement officials told CBS News was part of the thinking that drove Lanza to commit such a terrible act.
I mean mass killers get inspiration from each other, across the globe, and we are the ones who started the whole chain reaction, of massacres around the globe.
On Friday, July 22, 2011, at around 3:30 p.m. local time, a 2,000-pound homemade fertilizer bomb planted in a car exploded and ripped through the central area of Norway’s capital, Oslo, blowing out windows in government offices, killing 8 people, and wounding dozens more.
As police and rescue crews rushed to the scene, 33-year-old Anders Behring Breivik had already begun to make his way to a small island called Utoya, which is about 25 miles northwest of Oslo and was at the time hosting a camp for youth members of a Norwegian political party.
Breivik was dressed as a policeman and armed with an automatic rifle and a handgun. He later said he also brought drinking water because he knew the stress of killing people would dry his throat.

Before departing for the island, he allegedly told the ferry captain that transported him there that he was going to “do research in connection with the bomb blasts.”
Breivik landed on the island about 5:30 p.m., and began shooting the adults and children trapped there.
In court almost a year later, Breivik described the reaction of his victims as surprising.
“Some of them are completely paralyzed. They cannot run. They stand totally still. This is something they never show on TV,” Breivik said. “It was very strange.”
Breivik’s first two victims were a camp organizer and an off-duty police officer who was serving as a security guard.
“My whole body tried to revolt when I took the weapon in my hand. There were 100 voices in may head saying ‘Don’t do it, don’t do it,”‘ Breivik said.
After he made sure his first two victims were dead, he then entered what he described as a “fight-and-flight modus” that made it easier to continue killing.
At around 6:00 p.m., Breivik called Norway’s equivalent of “911” to surrender and hung up. He then went on shooting people. Again at around 6:30, he called the emergency line to surrender and hung up. At approximately 6:34 p.m., he surrendered without a fight to police. He had killed 67 people and wounded 33 more by then. Two more people eventually died in the hospital. He later said in court he had hoped to kill all 600 on the island.
I know I have made my response far too long, but my purpose it’s to show to anybody who read this, its how predictable this endemic behavior can be, when we glorify violence, and make a big deal to put it on the media for everyone to see, at the same time we feed our children high doses of violence through movies, video games, and warfare mentality.
And I haven’t even read anything about the Christchurch massacre yet.
But I will be surprised if there any differences, as to the motivations that produced the massacre.

Internet, globalization, social media, TV and so on have done a really terrible job in order to create a good global society. USA are at the very top of all kinds of bad influences.
We always have a choice, and it is too bad too many people refuse to think for themselves and be honest to others.
I hear a lot how divided one or another town or country is. Well, the ones who create the divide are us. Nobody can make you to do things which you are not willing to do. Too many excuses, too many good intentions gone wrong. And most of all: the world we live in has become 100% materialistic world and that is the main reason most people are hurting.
Anything is related nowadays to how much money something makes: healthcare (or rather health damage), education, entertainment, justice and science. Everything, literally, because even success is defined by not what it really gives people: devastation, traumas, suffering or pleasure, enjoyment and being better off, it all comes down to only financial gains and that is the problem. Even climate and sustainability of earth falls under the same category.
Should we wonder that it all results in more violence, more tragedies, more unhappy and sick people? We shouldn’t because we are participating in it and we allowed that to happen.
No one in their right mind could take issue with your words, Inese. Some individuals learn to make proper choices as they interact with others but for the most part the entire species is making the wrong choices and many are quite smug about their choices. Hence it is mankind, as a species, that is the cause of civilization’s inevitable downfall. The horrors that lie ahead… most could not even begin to imagine. I’m not “predicting” – just looking at how things are developing and the direction they are being forced to move in. Such observation tells only one story: the end!
You are right in all what you say, and problems are exacerbated, and magnified by the greater amount of people we have today, and the lackadaisical way most governments around the World face population growth, pollution, education, or lack of it, and a Laissez-faire attitude about the accumulation of wealth by the few, at the expense of the rest of us.
The consequences are there for all to see, I am all for freedom, and democracy, but not for the abuse, that these privileges entail, in their greed for monetary gains , all kind of abuses are permitted, and what is worse, there’s a total impunity by the people who perpetrate these abuses., and continue business as usual, despite the great damage, and suffering they cause.
And yes, we are all responsible by what we do, or don’t, and our own attitude towards it.

Thank you for the reminder about what we feed ourselves. I am grateful that I have that choice to decide what I wish to consume and what to avoid.
Yes, indeed, the only true choice we have it’s our attitude, as how we react to any given situation, and what we come up with, as a response, but as everything, it demands a rigorous selection, and mental discipline, to what we find acceptable, and what is not, just as we should avoid junk food, so we need to avoid bad thoughts, and choose good ones instead, since they feed our feelings, and consequently shape our hearts.

Another fascinating post. Especially like the wolf parable. So true. The media and pop culture (and much of culture in general) is poison. I turned it off years ago and began the process of taking my consciousness back. Quantum theory fascinates me. My mind has a hard time grasping hard science, but on some other level I completely understand it. Our thoughts do create our reality, as the trendy Law of Attraction theory states. However, many people get it wrong. The thought vibration must come from the heart space rather than the ego. Not an easy thing to pull off when we live in an ego centered culture. I keep working at it. Progress is slow, but steady. 🙂

Yes, it’s true to keep our balance we need to work hard, and always be mindful, specially when we are bombarded by all kind of information, our environments are full of not heart vibrations, but of ego centered nonsense, and if you are not watchful, it’s easy to slid down the Maya way of illusions, and take for truth, what it’s false, and believe even that violence can be the solution to a problem, as many people do therefore wars, and hate all over the World.
It may sound weird to many people, but we need to adopt a Satvic Way of life, to be able to get rid of all the darkness, and ignorance in our lives.
And that it is not a small feat, but a highly disciplined, and rigorous effort, of turning around our lives for the good, and well being, not only of us, but the whole planet.
And an effort every Human being should work on it.
So, its not a simple thing, to acquire Consciousnesses, but it is the only Way, if we want a better World.
Peace, it’s not the lack of wars, and violent acts, like an every day thing, but the resolution of conflicts, and true Peace, in the Human heart.
And that need to be achieved, before any change can be possible.

But of course it’s just an analogy, we all human beings cannot grow to be anything else but human beings, but as to what kind of actions we will choose to perform, that’s its particular to each one of us.
Homō hominī lupus, or in its unabridged form Homō hominī lupus est, is a Latin proverb meaning; “A man is a wolf to another man,” or more tersely “Man is wolf to man.” It has meaning in reference to situations where people are known to have behaved in a way comparably in nature to a wolf.
Of course, we have the choice to be a Saint as well.

Thank you for this thought-provoking article, Mr Anaya. Here below follows a few of my thoughts.
The problem is that being responsible and taking responsibility, being accountable and expecting accountability are not encouraged and are in fact actively avoided by by the citizens of the world – world-wide. Furthermore, human-rights are not really valued and to a large extent the support for it have been abandoned. Although people claim to stand for social justice it is mostly the case that they support social justice very selectively (for themselves and their favoured groups, but not for all (!). Morality and ethics are not valued anymore. These are all trends that point to a general malaise.
Although people are intelligent enough to know they should avoid exposure to violence on television, etc (through violent video games and TV shows, etc), people still choose indulge themselves with it – also look how popular the horror movies are at cinemas. Humanity is falling because humans choose to indulge their shadow side by choice – free will is involved.
Controlling everything from outside upon people through laws and regulations and controls (i.e. gun controls, speech controls, etc) won’t work – people need to learn to and want to control themselves. People need to learn to and want to continuously look into their own darkness and know their own personal propensity for evil. Important depth psychologists and psychotherapists of the past have pointed this out repeatedly – and still we are going backwards due to a resistance to self-responsibility.
For example Carl Jung, Viktor Frankl and Hannah Arendt have all written timeless books about the evil found in the average human – all humans – and that the only way to overcome this en-masse is to continuously work o n ourselves individually, first. But, how popular is depth-psychology in general today? In the world of screen-culture and personal entertainment devices?
Although humanity has the capacity to turn the ship around and to not crash the planet, it is still exercising its free-will to resist and avoid accountability and taking responsibility. So everything points to the fact that we are going to self-destruct. Perhaps, if we are lucky, there is a fail-safe mechanism built into the universe, which will somehow trigger events which will save us from ourselves. Time will tell.
Hopefully more and more people will discover that they have a huge personal responsibility to not only work on their own dark side, but that they also have the purpose of co-creation with the universe, which is only something that can be done from a higher level of each person’s true and authentic Self – I have written an article about that recently:
I pretty much agree in what you said, on your answer, about the issue of lack of accountability, unfortunately personal responsibility, and the impunity of Governments, , and of course the crass ignorance and manipulation of people who are seen by the powers that be, as not Human beings, but as ‘consumers’ of whatever they want to sell, and consequently happy with the state of affairs, and the lack of regulations, prohibiting the poison of indoctrination, by media channels and the mediocrity of our general education, arguing precisely our freedom of choice.
But my answer will be: Were is the freedom of choice of the many victims, of a massacre for example? They were just the plaything of a sick poisoned mind, you can punish the personal perpetrator, if they survive, but who will punish those who profit to keep business as usual, and in power, and do nothing to change things?

I am not a Gnostic, but sometimes you wonder about the Demiurge, and the Archons, as rulers of the World. Post March 11, 2017.
I know, its a complex issue, and we can only reflect there’s a Higher power, with a Wiser design, and ultimate purpose.
But I am firmly on my belief we all have a personal responsibility, to turn things around, and create a better World for all of us.

Thank you for your reply, Mr Anaya – you pose very pertinent questions – very important ones indeed – about accountability and the impunity that goes along with a lack of systems that hold people accountable, because it would seem that humans are not willing to hold themselves accountable, but the total freedom to do anything without repercussions translates to a lack of freedom for the victims of those who freely break the social contract. It raises questions about certain checks and balances – because in the past many countries had a death penalty for murderers, which used to be a counter-balance. Criminals would think twice before they commit murder, but then most countries came to the conclusion that the death penalty itself is a human rights violation and did away with it, which caused the murder rate to escalate, meaning it resulted in ore human rights violations not fewer. It seems as we go one step forward, we often go two steps back. Much food for thought! Always a pleasure to read your writing and thoughts – much appreciated.
Yes, there’s many issues involved, however in some of my post stress that ignorance, it’s the main reason why things go wrong between individuals, as well as Nations, and it seems a low priority for many governments, to give a real education, to the whole of their citizens, and change the emphasis to the acquiring of knowledge, rather than in the somewhat misguided, and mercantile emphasis to make a money making machine, rather than to acquire Wisdom.
The education of your people being the real asset of any country, not their wealth, since you can be wealthy and still show the worst vices of an uneducated person, and consequently your actions would affect more, than benefit society at large.
And education it’s an effort that cannot be postponed to the next generation, every generation, and every person need it, if you don’t want a country full of the ignorant, with grievous Historical consequences, as a result.

Hello Mr Anaya, due to many projects on my side it is also difficult for me to always respond timely, so I fully understand. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to contribute and participate in a project launched by an artist and writer in Romania – Laura Livia Grigore:
The core subject is: The Truth. I have contributed a couple of my previous writings and a new one and presently I am working on another article. The ideal is just to submit something that would fit the theme/s and which are on your blog (either new or old).
At the moment we are only two collaborators, so we are looking for more contributors. The only criteria really is a genuine philosophical interest in searching and arriving at (some) Truth, but to do that of course the nature of Truth itself needs to be explored too..
I was thinking about your work, because your writing is of a very high calibre and seems to fit The Truth Project’s objectives very well. if you have some time, it would be a pleasure to see some of your work/s submitted.

It looks like a great project, however as you point yourself, about being late to answer, I suffer from the same problem, not enough time to even deal with my blog, and have to spread myself thin, in order to manage it.
Contributing to another blog it will be an added responsibility, to the many other tasks I have to perform in my private life, as it is I spend a great amount of time reading other people’s blogs, in order to be fair to all those who read my blog.
She is free to re-blogging me if she she find something to her interests, and wish to do so, as some people do.

Thank you for your answer on this Mr Anaya – I fully understand. I think with this project the participation has to be active collaboration. However, if ever you have free time at a later stage, feel free to join – as she says: the project will take a lifetime to complete… (for us to arrive at the truth) 🙂 So you have time!
